Why choose ultrasonic level meter?
Both ultrasonic level meters and radar sensors measure or monitor liquid level changes by non-contact measurement. In addition, they also lay the foundation for the technology of wireless liquid level measurement or remote liquid level monitoring. However, faced with the current complex working conditions, some people do not know how to choose the two level meter. After all, the two level meters work differently.
Different working principles
Ultrasonic level meter adopts non-contact measurement method, so it is suitable for water conservancy, hydrology, chemical, petroleum and sewage treatment. Ultrasonic level meter probe also called transducer, transducer emit ultrasonic pulse will be to the object under test, the sound waves to come into contact with the medium surface after starting with medium surface reflection, again received by transducer, acoustic emission from the amount to be received after reflection off the time, will be proportional to the distance between the transducer to the medium.
Radar level sensor also adopts non-contact measurement method, and its measurement principle is similar to ultrasonic level meter, that is the antenna emits electromagnetic wave, the electromagnetic wave arrives at the measured liquid level, is reflected back, and then the antenna receives and identifies some time partition back to the wave. But there are two ways to measure the radar level sensor, they are respectively: the first way is to identify the running time of electromagnetic wave by the special verification method of pulse microwave.A fixed frequency pulse is transmitted by the antenna, which is reflected off the surface of the medium and then absorbed by the antenna. The pulse is then sent to an electronic circuit, where the microprocessor identifies the signal, determines the range of liquid levels, and converts the time taken to determine the level into a specific electrical signal. The second approach is realized by continuous waves in the domain of frequency modulation.Set up a microwave source, set up as a voltage control characteristics of the oscillator. The microwaves sent by the antenna are modulated continuous waves. When the echo is absorbed, the original frequency of microwave emission has been replaced. Some frequency differences in the return wave, with the antenna to the liquid level interval, highlight the proportional correlation. From this calculation, the precise characteristic liquid level height is obtained.
Whether we choose ultrasonic level meter or radar level sensor, we must decide according to our actual measurement needs and working conditions. In my opinion, only suitable ones are the most practical and effective ones.
