From a personal point of view, the development of ultrasonic liquid level meter has a history of 50 years, and the update iteration of the sensor is determined based on the worst working conditions and different media. Therefore, we do not need to worry about the influence of operating conditions and medium. But what we need to consider is that the ultrasonic liquid level meter emits ultrasonic waves, while the radar level meter emits electromagnetic waves. At room temperature and pressure, we usually choose the ultrasonic liquid level meter. For lumpy objects, volatile liquid or sealed mixing tank level measurement is the choice of radar level meter. However, with the continuous optimization of ultrasonic technology, engineers have improved and customized the anti-corrosion and extreme temperature environment of the ultrasonic level meter for users with special needs, in order to allow users to enjoy the characteristics of both sensors and reduce the purchase cost.
On the other hand, the ultrasonic liquid level meter has some disadvantages. Because mechanical waves cannot penetrate an environment filled with dust and noise, and the measured medium cannot contain foam or steam (fog). Therefore, the above factors are also the factors that we must consider when selecting sensors.
