Defects of Explosion Proof Ultrasonic Level Sensor

December 18, 2019

Although the explosion-proof ultrasonic level sensor is a non-contact and continuous measuring instrument, it also has defects due to the working principle of the ultrasonic wave. However, the shortcomings of the ultrasonic level measurement are not the cause of the product quality control, but because of product design and its working principle, it will also be accompanied by some shortcomings. Therefore, understanding the disadvantages of ultrasonic measuring instruments is also laying the foundation for improving work efficiency.

Defects of explosion-proof ultrasonic level sensor

1.Ultrasonic essence is a kind of mechanical wave, and the medium is required for propagation. Therefore, the biggest application defect of the ultrasonic liquid level sensor is that it cannot be used in the environment of vacuum environment and propagation medium change (such as strong volatility), and it will exist in the process of propagation. Attenuation, taking into account the contradiction between accuracy and range, the range of the anti-explosion ultrasonic level transmitter in practical applications is small, so it can not be used in large-scale and high-precision measurement.

2.When measuring the medium by ultrasonic wave, it will not only be affected by external pressure and environmental factors, but will also affect the accuracy. Moreover, due to the principle of ultrasonic wave, there will be a certain measurement blind spot.

Despite the drawbacks of the explosion-proof ultrasonic level sensor, it is still the most important measuring device in the modern industry in terms of current usage.
