Why industrial pressure sensors need to temperature compensation?
With the rapid development of industry, the importance of industrial pressure sensors has been paid more and more attention. Looking back at the sensor’s history, its technology has been improving, including temperature compensation for industrial pressure sensors. Although this technique is not a great “invention”, it has obvious effects on industrial measurement.
The development trend of industrial pressure sensors
If an industrial pressure sensor does not have the function of temperature compensation, it will reduce the working efficiency of the product, and it will not experience the convenience and applicability of the sensor. According to international industrial sensor data, the United States is the country with the largest number of industrial pressure sensors, at least 8 million of which are used each year, and this number is still rising. It is mainly used to detect pressure in chemical tanks, water control and electricity.
The necessity of temperature compensation for industrial pressure sensors
The purpose of using industrial pressure sensors is to measure the pressure of the medium. But we can only choose to measure the medium, but not the ambient temperature. Once the sensor is used in the environment with a large temperature difference, it will affect the resistance value of the bridge resistance and further interfere with the accuracy of the measurement. Therefore, in order to correct the influence of temperature on industrial pressure sensors, we need to make temperature compensation to the pressure sensors. The usual practice is to compensate with an electronic network on the periphery of the sensor, which is called “passive compensation”. But a small number of people now compensate for the temperature by manually interfering with the circuit, a method known as active compensation.
It has been proved that whether industrial pressure sensors are actively compensated or passively compensated, they all demonstrate the importance of temperature compensation.
