Submersible ceramic level sensor used for hydrochloric acid storage tank

September 28, 2021

With the widespread use of hydrochloric acid, the submersible ceramic level sensor is also recognized by most manufacturers. However, a few chemical manufacturers believe that the measurement of hydrochloric acid storage tanks requires ultrasonic level sensors rather than submersible ceramic level sensors. From my point of view, they all have their own advantages. We need to choose the right level sensor according to the actual measurement requirements, so as to get twice the result with half the effort.

Based on the data of most user feedback, the submersible ceramic level sensor is not only suitable for hydrochloric acid level measurement, but also for most corrosive level measurement. In fact, from this kind of sensor design ideas can reflect a lot of advantages. First, based on the design of the ceramic pressure shell, it can withstand more than 10 times the cracking pressure, which means it can be used for over 95% of the measurement medium and environment. Second, the sensor is equipped with lightning protection and surge protection. Even in rainforests where there is a lot of lightning or rain, the sensor has excellent stability. These remarkable advantages are incomparable to the ultrasonic level sensor. As we all know, ultrasonic level sensor is mainly used for liquid level measurement of small tanks, while for chemical plants, the number of large hydrochloric acid storage tanks is very large, and the noise and dust from chemical plants will affect the accuracy and use of ultrasonic sensors.

Through the specific analysis of things, we found that submersible ceramic level sensor and ultrasonic level sensor have their own advantages, we need to according to the size of storage tank and later cost maintenance to choose a reasonable level sensor.
