The Difference Between Capacitive Fuel Level Sensor and Submersible Fuel Level Sensor

Aug 11 , 2023

Both the capacitive fuel level sensor and the submersible fuel level sensor measure the fuel tank levels. However, the submersible fuel level sensor is mainly used for static tank level measurement, while the capacitive fuel level sensor is mainly used for dynamic tank level measurement. It is precisely because they have different working principles and materials that are irresistible, so their uses are different. They are used as measuring instruments for flammable and explosive media types, and the product's explosion-proof performance (ATEX APPROVED) and safety performance are no problem. In this case, let's talk about the difference between a capacitive fule level sensor and an submersible fuel level sensor.

Why need capacitive fuel level sensor to measure the dynamic tank level?

1. Fully sealed stainless steel body, delaying service life.

2. Fully fitted oil tank design to improve measurement accuracy.

3. Built-in GPS tracker to prevent drivers from stealing oil.

4. It can measure the oil level of different ranges without affecting the measurement accuracy.

5. The international ATEX explosion-proof standard certification is passed, and it is safe and worry-free.

6. Easy to operate and easy to install.

Why can't use the submersible fuel level sensor to measure the dynamic tank level?

1. The submersible fuel level sensor cannot be matched with the tank port interface, and the measurement accuracy cannot be ensured.

2. When the tanker is in the running state, the shaking liquid will affect the measurement accuracy of the impact sensor probe.

3. The submersible fuel level sensor should be fixed in the oil tank, but it will increase the difficulty of manual operation and the safety of the operator.

4. The Internet cannot be connected and the oil level change of the tanker cannot be monitored in real time.

In summary, the biggest difference between the capacitive fuel level sensor and the submersible fuel sensor is that the former can only be used for level measurement below 3 meters, while the latter can be used for range measurement of 500 meters. Both sensors have advantages and disadvantages, and we can only improve the measurement efficiency by using their different advantages and disadvantages.
